Courses for the Public

Standard courses

These courses run all year long, and it is possible to open a course at any time.

Intensive courses

one week courses: 24 hours, 6 days, 4 hours a day

one month courses: 80 hours, 4 hours a day, Mon thru Fri

weekend courses: 14 hours, Fri: 15-18, Sat, Sun: 9-12.45

summer courses: 40 hours, 2 weeks, 4 hours a day

Special courses

Preparatory courses A1

The courses aim at preparing students for examinations CCE (Czech Certifikate Exam), Level A 1 (in cooperation with Prague Charles University).

Small groups – maximum 4 participants.

Intensive courses: one month and one week courses. Standard courses.

Conversation

The course content is geared to the practical use of the language and consolidating and broadening vocabulary and idiomatic phrases.

Some topics: Shopping, Eating out, Dealing with the authorities, In and About town, Leisure activities, Communicating with others Courses are intended for intermediate students.

Small groups – maximum 4 participants. Standard courses.

Courses for students of Czech language and literature

The courses are intended for students of Czech language and literature at foreign universities. The course content is geared primarily to the practical use of the language and consolidating and broadening vocabulary and grammatical structures.

We recommend one week and summer courses.

If there is sufficient interest we will also organise the course at other times.

Courses for foreign students who have Czech parents

The courses are intended for students who have grown up outside the Czech Republic and who have learnt Czech from hearing and listening to their parents. The course content is geared mainly to the acquisition of correct grammatical structures, consolidating and broadening vocabulary and idiomatic phrases and, if necessary, Czech orthography.

Courses for translators

In general individual tuition.

We design the course content to fit students´ level of language attainment and their needs and wishes.

After you have sent relevant details (number of hours and frequency of tuition required, present knowledge of Czech, learning priorities) we shall make you an offer of a course.

Company Courses

Private or group lessons can be arranged at your workplace. We recommend 2 x 2 hours each week.

If you send us your requirements, we can quickly determine the most suitable course for you.
